Salt Industry Sector Increases Salt Production with Underground Ultra-saline Water

 Pyongyang, August 4 (KCNA) -- The salt industry sector in the DPRK is making successes in producing the salt with underground ultra-saline water.
The Kwisong Salt Works over-fulfilled its plan for July as it secured spare parts necessary for the full operation of equipment and properly controlled the level of water in the crystallization ponds.
The Namyang Salt Works took good care of evaporating ponds and storage facilities and solved technical problems arising in increasing the salinity to carry out its daily and ten-day plan.
The Kumsong Salt Works readjusted in a responsible manner the salt fields with due regard to the weather conditions and increased the storage capacity of salt water by raising the operation rate of the pumping and power equipment.
The Yonbaek Salt Works is also boosting the production of the salt by applying rational working methods, regarding it as the main line to put the operation of equipment and machinery on a scientific basis and improve the quality of products. -0-
