Efforts Made to Provide Guarantee for Increased Electricity Production

 Pyongyang, August 6 (KCNA) -- Hydro-power stations in Kangwon Province of the DPRK direct efforts to the readjustment and reinforcement of generating equipment to provide a guarantee for increased electricity production.
The power stations have pushed ahead with the work to steadily improve the performance of water level measuring device and automatic pump operating device and adapt buckets of water turbine to suit the actual conditions, thus fulfilling their daily plans.
They have conducted the work to correct the generator shaft as required by technical regulations in order to raise the operating ratio of generating equipment and increase instantaneous power.
They have overhauled the transmission system in a responsible manner and introduced valuable technical innovations so as to shorten the date of repairing generators in conformity with their characteristics.
The power producers in the province are paying attention to protecting hydraulic structures and equipment from strong wind and heavy rain. -0-
