Saleh gets invitation to partake in WSIS 2009 in Geneva

SANA'A, July 19 (Saba) -
President Ali Abdullah Saleh was invited on Sunday for partaking in the World Summit
on the
Information Society (WSIS) 2009 to be held in Geneva, Switzerland during October 5th
- 9th.
The invitation was handed over by International Telecommunication Union (ITU)'s
Secretary-General Mohammed al-Ameen to Minister of Communications and Information
Technology
Kamal al-Jabri.
During his meeting with Minister al-Jabri, al-Ameen said that many leaders or their
representatives would take part in summit representing about 44 developing states
and
12 Arab states including Yemen.
He praised the development that Yemen has witnessed in the telecommunication and
information technology field.
The meeting also discussed bilateral cooperation between the ministry and the union
and horizons of enhancing it during the coming period.
