Al-Qaeda existed in Yemen but limited: FM says

SANA'A, July 19 (Saba) - Foreign
Minister Abu Bakr al-Qirbi has said that Al-Qaeda is existed in Yemen but limited.
In an interview with Asharq Alawsat newspaper, al-Qirbi confirmed that the
government controls the situation, denying the news of transporting of al-Qaeda
members from Iraq
and Afghanistan to Yemen.
He said all talks about the huge existence of al-Qaeda in Yemen are just propaganda.
They are just few elements of al-Qaeda trying to join Houthi group and separatists
to avail from the current situation in Yemen, al-Qirbi said.
Opposition parties have not supported separation calls, they just ask for more
political and economic reforms under the umbrella of the unification, he added.
Regarding to the relations with neighbouring countries, al-Qirbi indicated that
Yemen has strong and developed relations with its adjacent states, particularly
with Saudi
Arabia.
