Youth Minister meets GCC youth delegations participating in Youth City 2030 programmes

Manama, Aug. 12 (BNA): Rawan bint Najeeb Tawfiqi, Minister of Youth Affairs, met with GCC delegations participating in the programmes of the GCC Youth Empowerment Committee at Youth City 2030, welcoming the participants and commending their engagement in the programmes and activities hosted by the city.

 

The minister highlighted the opportunities provided by Youth City 2030 for learning, development and the exchange of expertise and experiences among GCC youth, affirming that Bahrain remains committed to supporting GCC joint action and strengthening cooperation among the GCC countries.

 

She noted that this commitment comes as part of the comprehensive development process led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and highlighted the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, which reflect Bahrain’s commitment to strengthening GCC cooperation and integration.

 

The minister also affirmed that the support and attention of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, HM the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, provide important impetus to efforts to empower young people, enhance their participation in GCC joint action, and expand opportunities for communication and cooperation among GCC youth.

 

She highlighted the role of youth as a key pillar of development, stressing the importance of continuing to provide programmes and initiatives that enhance their capabilities, develop their skills and open wider avenues for cooperation and innovation, contributing to preparing a generation capable of advancing achievements and development.

 

The minister affirmed that the participation of GCC delegations in Youth City 2030 reflects the depth of the fraternal ties among GCC youth and the shared commitment to strengthening communication, exchanging expertise and experiences, and benefiting from successful models and practices in youth empowerment.

 

She also reviewed the delegations experiences and impressions of the programmes they attended, commending their engagement and keenness to benefit from the specialised training and knowledge opportunities provided by Youth City 2030.

 

For their part, members of the GCC delegations expressed their appreciation to Bahrain and the Ministry of Youth Affairs for hosting their participation, commending the quality programmes and enriching experiences offered by Youth City 2030 and their contribution to developing young people’s skills and strengthening communication among them.  They stressed the importance of continuing such initiatives in support of GCC youth cooperation.
