Symposium on Wheat Cultivation Technology

 Pyongyang, August 12 (KCNA) -- A symposium on the breeding of high-yielding wheat strains suitable for double-cropping and their cultivation technology took place at the Academy of Agricultural Sciences on August 11 under the co-sponsorship of the Agricultural Technology Association of Korea and the Breeding Society of Korea of the Central Committee of the General Federation of Science and Technology of Korea.
Attending the symposium were scientists and technicians from more than 30 units, including Wonsan University of Agriculture and the Ryumyong Farm of the Nampho Municipal Rural Economy Committee.
Dozens of valuable papers were submitted to the symposium. Those papers proved effective in growing and introducing high-yielding varieties of wheat suited to the climatic and soil conditions of the country and reaping a good harvest through scientific cultivation.
Highly appreciated were innovations to boost the per-hectare wheat harvest and apply various agricultural sci-tech products to growing wheat.
During the symposium there was a lecture on cultivating high-yielding varieties of wheat. -0-
