DRA Holds Training Program on Regulation of Data and Data Privacy

Riyadh, August 13, 2026, SPA -- The Digital Regulatory Academy (DRA) held a training program on Regulation of Data and Data Privacy, in collaboration with the King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture (Ithra) and Access Partnerships, to enhance digital knowledge and build capabilities in data protection regulation and information privacy. It also introduced digital well-being and the latest concepts that contribute to enhancing digital regulatory awareness and adopting best practices.
The two-day program was attended by more than 40 professionals in the field of digital regulations and policies, along with representatives from 18 regulatory entities. The program covered the importance of regulations and their role in protecting data and supporting privacy, reviewed the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and discussed regulating AI and its applications, as well as implementation and compliance.
This training program is part of the academy’s initiatives aimed at enhancing human capabilities in public policy and digital regulation, and raising collective regulatory awareness. Since its establishment in 2021, the academy has delivered numerous training programs, benefiting more than 900 participants from both the public and private sectors by the end of 2025.
