Prabowo outlines eight lndonesia's priorities in 2027 Draft State Budget

Jakarta (ANTARA) - President Prabowo Subianto announced that the 2027 Draft State Budget (RAPBN) would focus on eight National Priority Work Programs (PKPN) to drive economic growth and enhance public welfare.

Delivering the Government Statement on the Bill on the 2027 State Budget and its Financial Note at the Parliament Complex in Jakarta on Friday, the President stated that the budget architecture is built upon performance achievements from the first semester of 2026.

"These eight priorities are supported by stronger defense and security, law enforcement, good governance, accelerated digitalization, and economic diplomacy," President Prabowo said.

The eight priority areas comprise food sovereignty; energy and water self-sufficiency; education; health; downstreaming and industrialization; infrastructure, housing, and disaster resilience; strengthening the people-centered economy and village development; as well as poverty reduction.

The President emphasized that the 2027 budget design aims to remain collaboratively expansive, targeted, and measurable to foster structural economic growth toward high-value-added activities.

To maximize fiscal impact, President Prabowo said the need for unified policy execution across regulatory and financial bodies, explicitly highlighting the role of Danantara—the nation’s sovereign asset management agency.

"The synergy of fiscal, monetary, financial sector, and Danantara policies must work in synergy and become increasingly solid," the President stated.

The Head of State added that policy harmonization between central and regional governments will be tightened, alongside unyielding anti-corruption measures.

"Social protection programs must be reliable. Empowerment of MSMEs must continue to be stimulated, and support for farmers, fishermen, teachers, and vulnerable workers must also be strengthened," the President added, reaffirming that anti-corruption enforcement will proceed without discrimination.
