Production Goes up at Kim Chaek Iron and Steel Complex

Pyongyang, August 15 (KCNA) -- Workers of the Kim Chaek Iron and Steel Complex in the DPRK have made achievements in the production of pig iron and rolled steel.
The complex has introduced technical innovation proposals to shorten the melting time while correctly setting the mixing ratio of the charge in conformity with the conditions of raw materials and the amount of oxygen intake and concentrating efforts on increasing the operation rate of the furnaces, thus increasing the output of iron per charge.
The workers are contributing to carrying out the plan by raising the actual working rate of oxygen converters, continuous ingot mills and rolling mills.
Workers and technicians are sending pure oxygen by managing and operating the equipment in a responsible manner and ensuring the regular supply of quality gas to the main production processes by increasing the thermal insulation capacity of the drying furnaces. -0-
