Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un Sends Reply Message to Russian President
Pyongyang, August 16 (KCNA) -- Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, President of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, sent a reply message to Comrade Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, President of the Russian Federation, on August 15.
The message said:
Dear friend Comrade Vladimir Putin,
I express deep thanks to you for sending a message of warm greeting on the occasion of the 81st anniversary of Korea's liberation.
Korea's liberation on August 15 was an auspicious event of our people that put an end to the Japanese imperialists' colonial rule spanning decades and won national independence and sovereignty, and a great political event that opened up a broad road for building an independent powerful country.
The sacred history of national liberation of our people who ended the distress-torn history of stateless Korean nation and retook the independent dignity is associated with the feats of the officers and men of the Red Army who fought bravely in the sacred war for annihilating the common enemy.
I am always proud to be able to expect more excellent future of the bilateral relations by leading, together with you, the DPRK-Russia ties that has carried forward the history of common struggle for justice and precious traditions of friendship.
I take this opportunity to express again the firm belief that the fraternal army and people of Russia would certainly accomplish the sacred cause of defending the sovereignty, security interests and territorial integrity of the country and building powerful Russia under your wise leadership, and heartily wish you good health and greater success in your responsible work. -0-
