DPRK Embassy in Moscow Hosts Reception to Mark 81st Anniversary of Korea's Liberation

 Pyongyang, August 17 (KCNA) -- The DPRK embassy in Moscow hosted a reception on Aug. 14 on the occasion of the 81st anniversary of Korea's liberation.
Present there on invitation were Andrei Belousov, minister of Defense, Alexandr Kozlov, minister of Natural Resources and Ecology and figures of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology and other relevant fields.
DPRK Ambassador to Russia Sin Hong Chol and staff members of his embassy were on hand.
Speeches were made there.
The DPRK ambassador highly praised President Kim Il Sung, who achieved the historic cause of national liberation, as a great hero of all ages.
The matchless sacrificial spirit and merits of officers and men of the Red Army are recorded in the great history of national liberation which brought about a radical turn in carving out the destiny of the Korean people, he said, adding that the militant friendship and unity forged in the resistance against the common enemy serve as the cornerstone that has developed the DPRK-Russia friendly and cooperative relations into the most solid relations of comrade-in-arms and comprehensive strategic partnership.
The minister of Defense of the Russian Federation congratulated the 81st anniversary of Korea's liberation, saying:
The working people of Korea drove the Japanese aggressors out of their homeland by displaying their fortitude, bravery and indomitable will under the leadership of Comrade Kim Il Sung.
The victory won by the Korean people in the struggle for independence made a great contribution to the end of the Second World War.
The common victory won by us in the battlefields laid a solid foundation for the strategic partnership between the two countries.
The alliance and fraternal relations were established between Russia and the DPRK thanks to President Putin and Comrade Kim Jong Un, President of the State Affairs of the DPRK.
The minister of Natural Resources and Ecology said that the DPRK's firm support for the special military operations against Ukraine proved that the historical roots of the relations between the two countries are being inherited and clearly demonstrated the common view of Russia and the DPRK respecting the sovereignty and national interests of the states.
The trustworthy dialogue between the leaders of the two countries confirmed the desire to deepen the relations between Russia and the DPRK, and a series of significant events this year fully reflect our stand on the development of the relations, he said. -0-
