Industry Minister receives UN Under Secretary General

Manama, Aug. 19 (BNA): Abdullah bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Commerce, received Dr. Rania Al Mashat, UN Under Secretary General and Executive Secretary of the Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA).

The minister commended ESCWA’s role in supporting sustainable development and economic integration in the Arab region.

The meeting discussed means to enhance cooperation between Bahrain and ESCWA in economic and development domains, and reviewed existing cooperation and opportunities to develop them.
