Transportation Ministry Undersecretary receives UNDP resident representative

Manama, Aug. 19 (BNA): Fatima Abdullah Al Dhaen, Undersecretary for Land Transport and Postal Affairs at the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications, received Asmaa Shalabi, Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Bahrain.

The undersecretary affirmed the importance of continuing to enhance cooperation and coordination with UNDP to support Bahrain’s efforts to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals and develop initiatives related to the transport and postal sectors.

The meeting discussed means to enhance partnership and cooperation in relevant sustainable development areas, supporting diversified and inclusive growth in line with development goals.

Issues of mutual interest were also reviewed, with emphasis on continuing cooperation and coordination to support development efforts and initiatives.
