National Contest of Schoolchildren's Brass Bands Held in DPRK

 Pyongyang, August 23 (KCNA) -- A national contest of schoolchildren's brass bands took place at the fifth-stage construction site in the Hwasong area of the DPRK from Aug. 19 to 22.
More than 500 schoolchildren, selected from across the country, conducted motivational activities with band music.
Schoolchildren of Konguk Senior Middle School in Mangyongdae District, Tongri Senior Middle School in Sariwon City, Phyongsong Middle School for Orphans and Thongnam Senior Middle School in Songchongang District of Hamhung City revved up the atmosphere of the construction site with their cheerful band music full of optimism.
Those of Tong Senior Middle School in Sinuiju City, Paechon Mine Technical Senior Middle School in Paechon County, Kim Kum Su Senior Middle School in Usi County and Sangdong Senior Middle School in Wonsan City encouraged the builders by playing appealing marches. -0-
