Meeting of Agricultural Workers with Hero Held in DPRK
Pyongyang, February 6 (KCNA) -- Agricultural workers in the DPRK met with a DPRK hero on Thursday on the occasion of the 78th founding anniversary of the Korean People's Army.
Present there were Han Jong Hyok, chairman of the Central Committee of the Union of Agricultural Workers of Korea, union officials and agricultural workers in Pyongyang.
The meeting heard a speech made by DPRK Hero Ho Ryong, a lecturer of the Victorious Fatherland Liberation War Museum, who stroke terror into the U.S. imperialists' strategic reconnaissance plane which intruded into the sky over the economic waters in the East Sea of Korea.
He said that Chairman Kim Jong Il conducted superb operations to deal a heavy blow at the arrogant U.S. imperialists and personally guided it.
Recalling with pride the unforgettable days of victory, he said that he could work a military miracle unprecedented in the history as he fought with the Juche-based military strategy idea, tactics, courage and pluck of the Workers' Party of Korea.
He noted with deep emotion that whenever the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un visited his unit, he highly praised Ho Ryong for having given pleasure and satisfaction to Chairman Kim Jong Il and recollected his merit once again in January 2012, showing warm loving care for him.
He asked all the union officials and agricultural workers to firmly defend the Party and Korean-style socialism with increased grain production by inheriting the fighting spirit of the preceding generations.
Then followed speeches.
The speakers expressed their determination to devote themselves to doing immediate farming with the honor of being citizens of the dignified DPRK with matchless military muscle, and glorify this year when the Ninth Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea is to be held with increased grain production. -0-
