Rural Housing Construction Promoted in DPRK

 Pyongyang, August 26 (KCNA) -- North Phyongan Province of the DPRK is stepping up the rural housing construction.
While strengthening the cooperation among design, construction and supervisory officials, the province effectively arranged demonstrations and technical study in order to generalize advanced building methods and experience.
Changsong County is speeding up the housing construction in Kumya-ri at the final stage with the main emphasis on preserving the characteristics of the mountain area. It finished roofing and tile-covering projects while observing the building standards and regulations, and has focused the workforce and means on the interior projects.
Employing the advanced construction methods to save manpower and materials, the builders in Chonma and Kujang counties have made big strides in plastering every day in the same spirit as was displayed in successfully completing the foundation work and wall-block assembling.
Meanwhile, the province has directed efforts to consolidating the foundation for producing building materials and to producing and supplying colored mortar, tile paint and other finishing building materials with the locally available raw materials and resources. -0-
