PHUKET, Aug 27 (TNA) - The recent success of Thai performer "Nene" on America's Got Talent has brought pride to her family, bandmates, and supporters.
At Kajonkietsuksa School Kathu in Phuket, Nene’s educational institution, teachers, students, and parents gathered to watch her performance. The audience cheered throughout the show, culminating in applause when she received the Golden Buzzer.
Yanakorn Phoolwarodom, 12, known as "MK" and a fellow member of Nene's street band Ozone, expressed his excitement after watching the broadcast. He said Nene deserved the opportunity and praised her talent on the international stage.
When Mel B pressed the Golden Buzzer, I was thrilled and deeply moved," MK said, adding that he considers Nene's vocal and guitar skills exceptional.
In addition to advancing directly to the final round via Mel B’s Golden Buzzer, Nene featured traditional Thai elements in her performance. She wore a Samping gold-thread woven cloth, associated with Malay-Peranakan culture, wrapped over dark street-style pants and paired with a custom jacket by Tita Style, which was produced in two days.
She also wore a traditional Phuket pin brooch known as Pintang, a star-shaped piece set with diamonds. The outfit combined rock fashion with traditional Thai textiles. -819 (TNA)
