Youth Day, Holiday of Young People in DPRK

 Pyongyang, August 28 (KCNA) -- August 28 is the Youth Day, the holiday of the young people in the DPRK.
President Kim Il Sung formed the Young Communist League of Korea with new young revolutionaries on August 28, 1927.
This day, when a new history of the Korean youth movement began, is significantly commemorated as the Youth Day in the country.
Now the Youth Day is shining as the holiday of the youth power as the young people are fully displaying heroism under the guidance of respected fatherly Marshal Kim Jong Un, along with their sacred title - the main force of the revolution, successor to the revolution, vanguard and shock brigade for building a socialist power, etc.
The respected fatherly Marshal made sure that the Youth Day celebrations were held with splendor in August 2012 and sent a congratulatory message to the participants in the celebrations and the young people across the country on his way to far-flung frontline army units. He had a photo session with the delegates to the celebrations and watched a performance with them right after he arrived in Pyongyang.
He also watched the finals of the men's Hwaebul (Torch) cup soccer tournament, held on the occasion of the Youth Day in 2013, together with service personnel and youth and students in Pyongyang.
On the Youth Day of 2016, when the Ninth Congress of the youth league was held, he attended the congress to make a historic speech and personally present the flag of the youth league.
Warm love and trust of the respected fatherly Marshal, who has appreciated the feats of the young people and praised them as the best paragons of the times, were also witnessed on the Youth Day of 2015 and 2021.
The pride and honour of the young people who are leading the happiest life in the world under the care of the peerlessly great man are shining more brilliantly along with the Youth Day. -0-
