Bahrain participates in second Chief Legal Advisors Forum in Singapore

Singapore, Aug. 30 (BNA): Ambassador Dr. Mohammed Abdulrahman Al Haidan, Chief of Legal Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, participated in the second edition of the Chief Legal Advisors Forum, held in Singapore with the participation of around 39 countries from across the world.
In his remarks, Ambassador Al Haidan highlighted Bahrain’s leading role in resolving investment disputes and its advanced legal mechanisms, which combine amicable settlement and international arbitration in accordance with the highest standards. He underscored Bahrain’s success in establishing an attractive investment environment based on transparency and the rule of law, positioning the Kingdom as a regional model for managing investment disputes and safeguarding the rights of both investors and states.
Forum sessions addressed modern approaches to tackling challenges faced by states in disputes with investors, as well as proposed reforms to investor-State dispute settlement mechanisms, particularly the establishment of a Multilateral Investment Court.
