DPRK Young People on Study Tour of Mt Paektu
Pyongyang, February 12 (KCNA) -- Students and other young people from across the DPRK are now on an expedition to the revolutionary battle sites in the area of Mt Paektu, the sacred mountain of the revolution.
They got to the top of the mountain on February 11. While climbing the mountain in the biting cold and snowstorm, the expedition members cherished again the indomitable revolutionary spirit of the fighters who had unyieldingly continued their arduous struggle, believing in President Kim Il Sung only.
When arriving at the top of the mountain, the origin of the Korean revolution, symbol of victory and spiritual mainstay of the Korean people, the passionate youths were so excited and happy that they broke into stormy cheers of "Hurrah!"
Earlier at the Mudubong Secret Camp, the expedition members went round the headquarters log cabin and trees bearing slogans to grasp the greatest patriotic exploits of the President, who led the sacred war for accomplishing the historic cause of national liberation to a brilliant victory, and the noble moral world of the anti-Japanese forerunners.
During the tour, they had a pencil drawing contest and a question-and-answer study contest. -0-
