Samsung to unveil new AI-powered home appliances at IFA 2026 in Berlin

SEOUL, Sept. 2 (Yonhap) -- South Korean tech giant Samsung Electronics Co. said Wednesday that it will showcase a range of new artificial intelligence (AI)-powered home appliances at IFA 2026, a major home electronics trade show in Berlin.

Samsung will present its vision of "AI Living," which expands beyond an AI-powered home connecting household appliances and smart devices to encompass everyday life at the annual tech show, which runs from Wednesday through Sunday (local time).

The exhibition space will be divided into three themes -- entertainment, home companion and care companion.

In the entertainment zone, Samsung will showcase new TVs and monitors featuring next-generation display technologies.

The home companion zone will feature home appliances designed to improve energy efficiency and make better use of space through AI.

The "Bespoke" refrigerator uses camera-based AI vision technology to recognize food ingredients and suggest recipes.

It also offers an energy management function that allows users to monitor and control the power consumption of connected appliances.

Samsung will also introduce space-saving kitchen appliances, including a hood-integrated induction cooktop and built-in dishwasher.

The care companion zone will feature a range of Galaxy products, including the latest Galaxy S26 FE and Galaxy Z Fold 8 series.

In particular, Samsung will offer visitors an opportunity to experience the Galaxy S26 FE, which is scheduled to launch on Friday.
