Fishery Stations in DPRK Make Achievements in Propagating Marine Resources

 Pyongyang, September 2 (KCNA) -- The fishing sector of the DPRK has achieved successes in propagating the marine resources.
Officials and employees of fishery stations across the country released tens of millions of fry this year.
The Kamapho Fishery Station paid close attention to ensuring the water quality and temperature good enough for the growth of fry and developed and applied advanced techniques for breeding fry so as to boost the weight ratio.
The Nampho Fishery Station created favorable conditions for the growth of fry and released lots of fry.
The Soho Fishery Station increased the production of young flatfishes and cod over 140 percent by introducing the profitable fish-breeding ways which are suited to biological characteristics and growth stage of fishes, and the Thongchon Fishery Station registered high results in propagating the marine resources.
The Jongju Fishery Station, too, over-fulfilled the plan to produce young gray mullets. -0-
