Educational Foundations Consolidated in DPRK
Pyongyang, September 2 (KCNA) -- After the 14th National Conference of Teachers, the educational structure in the DPRK has improved and the teaching force strengthened. Hundreds of integrated schools, more than 1 630 schools, over 1 590 branch schools and over 1 100 kindergartens were newly built or modernized across the country.
The Ministry of Education and relevant units have striven to make ours the most superior and ideal education, and the whole society has given active support to the education sector. Against this backdrop, the overall educational foundations of the country were further consolidated.
Progress was made in the project for improving the country's educational structure in a rational and efficient way and further raising the level of educational contents and methods to give students more advanced and practical education.
The active operation of the online education system has contributed to implementing the plan for making all the people well versed in science and technology.
The education sector has produced a large number of those who won the title of the country's ten best teachers, best scientists and the February 16 Science and Technology Prize every year.
And many educational institutions were newly built and modernly remodeled amid a nation-wide campaign to consolidate the material and technical foundations of education.
The establishment of the private network for education sector makes a contribution to the educational work in the whole area, and educational aid program centers have been built in Pyongyang and every province to provide bases for making education modern and IT-based. -0-
