Iran judiciary ready to facilitate legal cases for Iranian, Indian traders

Tehran, IRNA — Iran’s Judiciary is ready to facilitate and accelerate the handling of judicial and legal cases involving Iranian and Indian traders and economic actors engaged in joint business activities, Judiciary Chief Gholam-Hossein Mohseni-Eje’i said.

Speaking during a meeting with Iranian and Indian businesspeople in New Delhi on Friday, Mohseni-Eje’i emphasized the need to remove obstacles to expanding financial and commercial relations between the two countries.

He said the Judiciary was prepared to hear directly from traders about legal and other barriers hindering bilateral trade and work with relevant authorities to address them within the framework of the law.

Mohseni-Eje’i, who was visiting India to attend a BRICS summit, highlighted the long history of commercial exchanges between Iran and India and called for greater cooperation to prevent obstacles from disrupting bilateral economic ties.

He also attributed part of the challenges facing Iranian and Indian traders to US economic terrorism against Iran.

The Judiciary chief stressed that cooperation between the governments and business communities of Iran and India could help overcome many of these difficulties.

He pledged that Iran’s Judiciary would provide all possible assistance within its legal authority to support traders and economic actors and facilitate the development of bilateral commercial relations.
