Minister of Communications Meets with UN Under-Secretary-General

      New York, September 05, 2026, SPA -- Minister of Communications and Information Technology Abdullah Alswaha held a meeting with United Nations Under-Secretary-General for Economic and Social Affairs Li Junhua, in the presence of Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the United Nations Ambassador Dr. Abdulaziz Alwasil.
   The meeting discussed comprehensive digital transformation and its role in accelerating progress toward the Sustainable Development Goals, as well as ways to strengthen partnerships in digital government.
   The two sides also discussed supporting digital capacity building in developing countries and exchanging experiences and best practices. These efforts contribute to developing more inclusive and innovative digital governments.
   The meeting reflects the Kingdom’s active role in promoting international cooperation, leveraging emerging technologies to develop and enhance the efficiency of government services, and enabling societies to benefit from the opportunities of the digital age.
