Maize Harvest Promoted in DPRK

 Pyongyang, September 5 (KCNA) -- Agricultural officials and workers in the DPRK are now busy with the maize harvest.
Under the intensive guidance of officials of the Agricultural Commission and agricultural guidance organs at all levels, the farms are concentrating the workforce and means on reaping maize and taking measures to prevent maize from being lost and from decaying during the transport and storage.
Agricultural workers in South Hwanghae Province are reaping maize in thousands of hectares of fields every day.
The farms in North Phyongan Province have drawn up detailed daily plans for every field and every variety and carried them out now that various processes of farm work are being conducted at the same time.
South Phyongan Province sets the right harvest time according to the features of all the fields and rationalizes manpower allotment to push ahead with the maize harvest.
Agricultural workers in Pyongyang and Nampho municipalities are meeting the requirements for carrying and drying maize while reaping more maize. -0-
