Madinah Chamber Highlights Sports Sector Investment Opportunities and Economic Potential

   Madinah, September 06, 2026, SPA -- The sports sector in Madinah Region has witnessed growth in its components and investment opportunities, driven by the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 to enhance the sports sector's contribution to the national economy, improve quality of life, and increase rates of physical activity.
   A report issued by the Al Madinah Al Munawarah Chamber indicated that the Ministry of Sport has identified 12 investment tracks in the sports sector, including clubs, academies, sports facilities, and sports tourism. The report noted that the region's sports ecosystem includes one first-division football club, seven third-division clubs, and one fourth-division club, as well as 34 sports clubs, 22 academies, and 123 sports centers and gyms, of which 90 are for men and 33 for women.
   The report noted that the most prominent investment opportunities include developing club governance and diversifying their revenue sources, establishing specialized sports academies for emerging sports, and linking sports with tourism by organizing events and developing sports experiences and facilities, while benefiting from tourism activity in Madinah and its governorates.
