Floral Tribute Paid to Revolutionary and Patriotic Martyrs Cemeteries
Pyongyang, September 9 (KCNA) -- Flowers were laid at the Revolutionary Martyrs Cemetery on Mt Taesong and the Patriotic Martyrs Cemetery in Sinmi-ri on September 8 with the 78th founding anniversary of the DPRK as an occasion.
Present there were Pak Thae Song, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and premier of the Cabinet of the DPRK, Jo Yong Won, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau and secretary of the Central Committee of the WPK, and other senior Party and government officials, officials of the Party Central Committee, the Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly, the Cabinet and armed forces organs and meritorious persons of socialist patriotism in Pyongyang.
The participants observed a moment's silence in memory of the martyrs who devoted their all to the prosperity of Juche Korea, happiness of the people and the sacred cause for victorious advance of the socialist cause, true to the ideology and leadership of the Party.
Then they went round the cemeteries.
The participants laid flowers before the busts and tombstones of the martyrs and paid high tribute to them, recollecting with reverence the valuable exploits of the forerunners who are always alive in the memory of the country and the people. -0-
