Thai Prime Minister attends royal funeral of King Harald V of Norway on behalf of King

OSLO, Sept 9 (TNA) — Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul represented King Maha Vajiralongkorn at the royal funeral of King Harald V of Norway in Oslo on Wednesday, alongside foreign royals, world leaders, and high-ranking international representatives.

Traisuree Taisaranakul, Secretary-General to the Prime Minister, said the Prime Minister, who also serves as Minister of Interior, performed his duties as the royal representative at Oslo Cathedral.

The funeral service took place at 1:00 p.m. local time following a procession carrying the royal casket from the Royal Palace to the cathedral, where crowds gathered along the route to pay their respects to the long-reigning monarch.

The Prime Minister's attendance underscores the bilateral relations between Thailand and Norway, Traisuree said. -819 (TNA)
