Protesters gather outside Israeli Embassy in Bangkok demanding nominee business checks

BANGKOK, Sept 10 (TNA) — Prominent political activist Sondhi Limthongkul led a demonstration outside the Israeli Embassy in Bangkok on Thursday under a campaign titled "Reclaim Our Thailand," calling for stricter regulation of Israeli tourists and a crackdown on illegal nominee businesses.

Joined by supporters, including prominent environmental activist Siranudh "Psi" Scott holding a Thai national flag, the group gathered outside Ocean Tower 2 in the capital's Watthana district to submit an open letter to the Israeli Ambassador.

The petition outlined four key demands, urging officials to enforce stricter oversight of Israeli visitors to respect local laws and culture, ensure full cooperation in criminal proceedings, and investigate land holdings and operations linked to the Chabad community center under Thai law. 

The group also called on the Israeli government for an end to actions targeting civilians and urged adherence to international humanitarian principles. -819 (TNA)
