Graduates of Sungkyunkwan University take part in a Confucian ritual at the school in Seoul on Feb. 25, 2026, to mark its first commencement ceremony of the year. The ritual called "goyurye," which is traced back to the Joseon Dynasty (1392-1910), is held to inform former saints of such auspicious events as school entrance, graduation and the completion of buildings.
