Forest-fire Prevention Work in DPRK

 Pyongyang, September 18 (KCNA) -- The work to prevent forest-fire is being conducted on a mass scale across the DPRK in keeping with the autumn conditions.
Jagang Province has conducted the ideological work in various forms and methods to make the inhabitants understand the importance of forest-fire prevention work. Meanwhile, it is pushing ahead with the work to repair and install forest-fire break, water intake site, etc. in a qualitative way in mountainous areas.
North Hwanghae and South Phyongan provinces are rechecking the system for monitoring and notifying forest-fire, while finding out faults and spaces.
North and South Hamgyong provinces have provided the newly-arranged observation posts with necessary signal equipment and made them mobilize fire-fighting equipment and vehicles in time and ensured that the residents observe the established order for entering mountains. -0-
