STX Engine inks business alliance with Rolls Royce on gas turbine

SEOUL, July 21 (Yonhap) -- STX Engine Co., the South Korean diesel engine
manufacturer, said Tuesday it has forged a business alliance with Rolls-Royce
Plc, the British power systems company, for production of gas turbines.
Under the alliance, STX Engine, a unit of STX Group, will be able to supply
equipment used for gas turbines made by Rolls Royce, it said.
Rolls-Royce, founded in 1906, has related businesses in the defense, aerospace,
marine and energy markets.
Shares of STX Engine were trading at 26,600 won on the Seoul bourse as of 10:22
a.m., up 5.54 percent.
