Ambassador to Belgium participates in official Wallonia Day celebrations

Namur, Sep. 21 (BNA): Mohammed Ali Behzad, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Kingdom of Belgium, participated in the official Wallonia Day celebrations organised by the Parliament of Wallonia at the Royal Theatre in Namur, in the presence of King Philippe, King of the Belgians.

The event featured addresses by Willy Borsus, President of the Parliament of Wallonia; Matthias Diependaele, Minister-President of the Government of Flanders; and Adrien Dolimont, Minister-President of the Government of Wallonia.

The Government of Wallonia also hosted a reception at the Élysette in honour of members of the diplomatic corps, which included the signing of the Golden Book and an address by Adrien Dolimont.

The Ambassador subsequently attended the official reception of the City of Namur at the Garden of Arts, in the presence of members of the federal government. The reception featured an address by Charlotte Bazelier, Acting Mayor of Namur, followed by a luncheon hosted by the Governor of Namur Province at the Provincial Palace.

The events brought together a number of senior Belgian officials and members of the diplomatic corps, providing an opportunity to further strengthen the longstanding relations and bilateral cooperation between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Kingdom of Belgium.
