DPRK Premier Inspects Various Economic Sectors

 Pyongyang, September 23 (KCNA) -- Pak Thae Song, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the C.C., Workers' Party of Korea and premier of the Cabinet of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, inspected various economic sectors.
Going round various farms in Taedong, Jungsan, Phyongwon, Sukchon and Mundok counties of South Phyongan Province, the premier encouraged the agricultural workers working hard to successfully conclude the farming this year, the first year for carrying out the new five-year plan.
Learning in detail about the progress in immediate farming such as crop yields on different rice fields and operation of farm machines, he called on the farms to concentrate efforts and means on gathering the crops, cultivated with much effort, without any waste to increase the per-hectare yield to the maximum.
He underscored the need to widely introduce the scientific farming methods whose advantages have been proved in practice, finish the sowing of winter wheat and barley in the right time and in a qualitative way and promote the catfish breeding in paddy fields.
At the Namhung Youth Chemical Complex, he called for timely finishing the overhauling of the fertilizer production process by the appointed day and steadily increasing the fertilizer production by putting efforts into equipment management and technical control while reducing the consumption of raw materials.
At the fifth-stage construction sites in Hwasong area, he urged the construction units to give priority to ensuring quality, push ahead with the projects in their charge as planned and make sure all working processes meet the requirements of designs and construction rules through meticulous operations and guidance.
Earlier, he visited the Pyongyang Building Materials Factory and stressed the need to regard sci-tech development as a main link in the chain growth of production, strengthen the talented work force and actively apply innovative inventions to produce more quality building materials.
The field consultative meetings discussed the issue of directing efforts to the supply and transport of building materials to the fifth-stage construction sites in Hwasong area and supervising the construction in a responsible manner, the issue of officials to methodologically innovate the management of enterprises and business with clear goals and scientific insight for the growth of production, and the issue of waging a dynamic campaign for exploiting reserves for increased production. -0-
