Founding Anniversary of Jangjasan Children's Camp Marked

 Pyongyang, September 23 (KCNA) -- The Jangjasan Children's Camp in the DPRK marked its 50th founding anniversary.
The 50-year-long history of the children's camp is associated with warm love of the peerlessly great men, who provided our schoolchildren with good extracurricular training bases and made sure that they enjoy the greatest happiness in the world.
In November 1974 the great leader Generalissimo Kim Il Sung was inspecting various sectors of the national economy in Jagang Province. Although he was busy with his field guidance, he saw to it that the children's camp was moved to a scenic place and gave detailed instructions to resolve the problems arising in its management and operation.
The great leader Generalissimo Kim Jong Il named the new camp Jangjasan Children's Camp on September 23, 1976 and sent lots of equipment and musical instruments to the camp on several occasions.
Respected fatherly Marshal Kim Jong Un personally examined the design for remodeling the camp, solved all the problems arising in the project and ensured that the camp was furnished with all amenities necessary for the activities and life of campers.
A meeting took place on the spot on Sept. 22.
Present there were officials concerned, officials of the youth league and teaching staff of the camp. -0-
