Increased Railway Transport in DPRK

  Pyongyang, September 23 (KCNA) -- The railway transport sector of the DPRK is concentrating on a drive for increased carriage to successfully conclude this year's work.
The workers in the railway transport sector put spurs to the transport of freight to the worksites of great upsurge, thus carrying 17 000 tons of more freight than the planned as of September.
The Pyongyang Railway Bureau has strictly monitored the movements of freight trains and the amount of laden materials and ensured the timely transport of cargo by shortening the loading time and the shunting time in a rational way.
The Chongjin Railway Bureau has renewed records after transporting hundreds of more tons of freight for the past 20 days.
Kaechon, Hamhung and Rason railway bureaus, too, are taking measures to reduce the turnaround time of freight cars to increase the successes in transport. -0-
