Immigration Bureau Launches 'THIM' App to Digitally Streamline Tourist Services

BANGKOK, Sept 25 (TNA) - The Immigration Bureau has officially launched the "THIM" (Thai Immigration Application) to digitize its services, aiming to enhance convenience, safety, and efficiency for foreign travelers throughout their stay in the country.

Pol. Lt. Gen. Phanumas Boonyalak, Commissioner of the Immigration Bureau, stated that the THIM application was developed to reduce processing steps and increase service efficiency to address physical space constraints at airports.

The application integrates key travel services, including the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC), allowing foreign visitors to submit arrival details quickly and accurately. It also includes an "Explore Thailand" feature that provides useful travel information for tourists.

The bureau plans to expand THIM into a fully integrated, one-stop service platform in the future. Planned features include appointment queue bookings, requests for certificates of stay, visa extensions, 90-day notification reporting, and Visa on Arrival (VoA) processing.

Since its launch on August 1, 2026, across the App Store, Google Play Store, and Huawei AppGallery, the THIM application has recorded over 600,000 downloads, with active users exceeding 580,000—representing approximately 97.2% of total downloads. -819 (TNA)
