Saudi Student Plans NIBAA To Help Gulf Peers Pursue Studies In Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 26 (Bernama) -- Two years of studying in Malaysia have inspired Saudi national Muhammad Al-Anzi to plan the establishment of NIBAA, an education consultancy initiative aimed at helping students from Gulf countries pursue their studies in Malaysia.

Speaking to Bernama, Muhammad, who is in his early 30s, said he initially came to Malaysia to pursue a master’s degree in Business Management.

His experience of daily life in Kuala Lumpur enabled Muhammad to gain a closer understanding of Malaysia’s education and cultural environment, while interacting with people from diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds.

The experience later inspired him to establish NIBAA, which is also planned to provide English language skills and help students from Gulf countries, including Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar and Bahrain, obtain information and explore opportunities to pursue their studies in Malaysia.

Muhammad, who is currently pursuing his studies at a higher education institution in Malaysia, said his decision to choose Malaysia was driven by the country’s good quality of education and affordable cost of living.

In addition, Malaysia’s Islamic environment has made his experience of living away from home easier and more comfortable.

He is also a TikTok influencer through the @moha.alenz account, where he produces short videos in the Saudi dialect to introduce people in his home country to life and study experiences in Malaysia.

He said balancing his studies with career management was among the biggest challenges he faced while in Malaysia.
Muhammad described his interactions with Malaysians and students from various countries as one of the most important aspects of his experience.

He said the experience had given him the opportunity to learn about different cultures, develop his communication skills and broaden his perspective of the world.

In conjunction with Saudi Arabia’s National Day on Sept 23, Muhammad also expressed his pride in his country despite being abroad.

“I congratulate the wise leadership and the beloved people. I pray that Allah will continue to grant peace and prosperity to Saudi Arabia.

“As Saudi nationals living abroad, we are proud to carry the name of our homeland wherever we go,” he said.

After completing his studies, he plans to realise the establishment of NIBAA and expand its operations in Malaysia, while pursuing a career in education and entrepreneurship.
