Iranian culture minister gives new proposals for cultural cooperation to United Cultures meeting

Moscow, IRNA –Speaking at the 12th International Forum of United Cultures, the Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance outlined the Islamic Republic of Iran’s proposals for strengthening bilateral and multilateral cultural cooperation; highlighting certain aspects of the crimes committed by aggressors against the country, he emphasized that the Iranian nation's steadfastness in the face of recent events is undoubtedly a manifestation of the country's civilizational resilience.

Speaking in St. Petersburg on Friday before an audience of ministers, officials, and influential figures in culture and the arts from 70 countries, Salehi proposed expanding cultural exchange weeks among Iran, Russia, and the nations participating in the event.

The Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance also invited artists, high-ranking officials, and intellectuals from the participating countries to visit Iran and announced the country's readiness to expand cooperation in the field of Iranian studies with friendly nations.

Meantime in a separate meeting, the Iranian Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance and the Deputy Prime Minister of Russia emphasized the comprehensive expansion of cooperation between the two countries, particularly in the fields of culture and art.

Wishing the Russian side success in hosting the summit, the Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance noted that relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Russian Federation are expanding across various dimensions, and that this development is gaining significant momentum in the cultural sphere.
