Araghchi: Iran to remain steadfast even if apocalyptic war happens

TEHRAN, Sep. 28 (MNA) – Iran's top diplomat said Iran will continue to stand firm against any aggression, even if the situation escalates into an apocalyptic war, adding that Tehran is simultaneously ready for genuine diplomacy.

Araghchi posted on social media that he told Meet The Press, "President Pezeshkian and I did not come to New York to sell a war. We came to forge peace." 

"Iran nonetheless remains steadfast in the face of any aggression—even if it comes to an apocalyptic war," the Iranian foreign minister added.

"At the same time, we are ready for real diplomacy," Araghchi concluded.
