Work to Preserve Historical Sites and Relics and Restore Intangible Cultural Heritage in DPRK

 Pyongyang, September 28 (KCNA) -- South Hwanghae Province in the DPRK is taking measures to preserve and mange historical sites and relics and scenic spots and discover and restore intangible cultural heritage, according to Minju Joson.
The province is pushing ahead with the work to finish the repair of painting work of the Puyong Pavilion in a qualitative way after digging hundreds of cubic meters of mud in the pond of the pavilion and realigning the area of thousands of square meters.
It is speeding up the repair of the Sungbang Pavilion of the Woljong Temple in Mt. Kuwol and the mausoleum of Kogukwon in Oguk-ri, Anak County at the final stage.
The province also registered the folk song "Haeju Arirang", bean paste made by mixing and steaming boiled bean and spices, Haeju rice mixed with spices, vegetables, meat, etc., coriander Kimchi, Kangryong rice boiled with oysters, grasswork, etc. as national and local intangible cultural heritage. It is now conducting the work to examine and register a traditional drink and a folk song, and to restore the folk song and dance play "Kangryong Masked Dance" and put it on the stage. -0-
