DUTCH EMBASSY CONTINUES ACTIVITIES AFTER BOMB BLASTS
Jakarta, July 21 (ANTARA) - The Dutch embassy here continued its activities following the bomb blasts at Ritz Carlton and JW Marriott hotels in Kuningan area, South Jakarta, on Friday (July 17) morning except two cultural events which were suspended, namely, one concert on Friday night and one kids movie on Sunday after noon in the Erasmus Huis.
"Out of respect for the victims and to make sure that all security requirements are met before we receive our guests again," Gonneke de Ridder, head of the Information and Cultural Affairs of the Dutch Embassy said here Tuesday.
This story is a corrected version to the one entitled NETHERLANDS SUSPENDS ACTIVITIES IN INDONESIA issued by Antara on July 18, which told that the Dutch embassy suspended all its activities. The embassy actually only suspended two events as mentioned above.
A bomb exploded on Friday at 7.45 a.m. at Airlangga restaurant of Ritz Carlton hotel and followed at 7.47 a.m. later at Syailendra restaurant of JW Marriott hotel only about 50 meters away.
