Ryuwon Footwear Factory Benefits from Natural Energy

 Pyongyang, October 6 (KCNA) -- The Ryuwon Footwear Factory in the DPRK has a natural energy power station, according to Rodong Sinmun.
One thousand and hundreds of well-arranged solar panels were installed on roofs of all buildings covering an area of thousands of square meters.
They produce a thousand and hundreds of kilowatts of electricity a day.
With energy from the solar panels, the factory ensures the electricity supply to sewing machines, cooling-and-heating equipment, lighting and canteen.
It has produced hundreds of thousands of kWh of electricity through solar power generation system since January.
Many solar water heaters were installed on the roofs of other buildings.
The solar water heating system has been operated on a normal basis for bath house, swimming pool and wading pool of nursery in the factory.
The natural energy helps not only the production and management of the factory but also the cultural and emotional life of its employees. -0-
