Yemen Lauds Saudi Arabia's Decision to Regularize Status of Yemeni Residents
Aden, October 06, 2026, SPA -- The Yemeni government praised Saudi Arabia's decision to regularize the status of its nationals illegally residing in the Kingdom, following directives of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, in response to a request by Presidential Leadership Council President Dr. Rashad Al-Alimi.
A statement by the Yemeni Council of Ministers, carried by Yemen News Agency (SABA), expressed gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for the initiative, describing it as a reflection of Saudi Arabia's humanitarian approach and the depth of brotherhood and historical ties between the two countries.
The statement stressed that the initiative extends Saudi Arabia's continuous support for Yemen, demonstrating a strategic partnership that goes beyond political and economic support to directly uphold the dignity of its people.
The Yemeni government renewed its appreciation to the Kingdom's leadership, government, and people, affirming that Saudi Arabia's positions represent a fundamental pillar in protecting Yemen and restoring its security and stability.
