Jordan Condemns Houthi Militia's Attempt to Target Makkah, Madinah

   Amman, October 06, 2026, SPA -- The Jordanian government today condemned the Houthi militia's continued attacks on Saudi Arabia, including attempts to target Makkah and Madinah as well as civilian and economic facilities in several cities, describing them as a flagrant violation of its sovereignty, a threat to its security and stability, and a blatant breach of international law and the UN Charter.
   In a statement, the Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates affirmed absolute solidarity with the Kingdom in confronting the attacks and unwavering support for all measures it takes to protect its security, stability, sovereignty, resources, and the safety of its citizens and residents.
   The ministry emphasized support for Yemeni legitimacy and the need to resolve the crisis on principles that ensure the restoration of security and stability in Yemen, the protection of its unity, sovereignty, and resources, and the fulfillment of the Yemeni people's aspirations, in accordance with agreed-upon references.
   It also affirmed Jordan's support for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's efforts to reach a comprehensive and sustainable political settlement in Yemen, as well as its leadership of the Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen.
