National Exhibition and Presentation of Forest Sci-Tech Achievements

 Pyongyang, October 7 (KCNA) -- A national exhibition and presentation of forest sci-tech achievements was held at the Academy of Forest Science from Sept. 30 to Oct. 6 under the co-sponsorship of the Ministry of Land and Environment Protection and the Korea Forestry Association of the C.C., General Federation of Science and Technology of Korea.
Present at the exhibition were scientists, technicians and field officials from scientific research and educational units in the forestry sector including Kim Il Sung University, the Academy of Forest Science, provincial forest science research institutes, tree nurseries and forest management stations. On display there were more than 200 valuable scientific and technological achievements made in afforestation and forest conservation.
During the exhibition there took place a sci-tech presentation on the technology of actively protecting and multiplying the forest resources of the country and cultivating trees of good species and a seminar, an experience-sharing meeting and a technical workshop for solving the scientific and technological problems arising in creating raw materials forests of regional-industry factories.
Certificates and prizes were awarded to highly appreciated units and individuals. -0-
