HM King congratulates Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques on Saudi Arabia’s Gulf Cup victory

Manama, Oct. 6 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa sent a cable of congratulations to King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, on the Saudi national football team winning the 27th Arabian Gulf Cup (Khaleeji 27), hosted in Jeddah.
HM the King extended congratulations and best wishes to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and to Saudi Arabia and its people on the outstanding sporting achievement.
His Majesty commended the Saudi national team’s impressive performance throughout the tournament and the sportsmanship, determination and perseverance that contributed to securing the title.
HM the King highlighted Saudi Arabia’s outstanding capabilities in organising and hosting major sporting events, as demonstrated by its hosting of the tournament. His Majesty also noted that the Gulf Cup reflected the close bonds and shared values that bring together the citizens of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.
His Majesty commended the support and attention accorded to sport in Saudi Arabia and wished the Saudi national team continued success, as well as further progress and prosperity for Saudi Arabia and its people under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques.
