Ambassador to Canada meets Canadian Business Council Chairman

Mexico City, Oct. 7 (BNA): Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Rashid Al Khalifa, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to Canada, resident in Washington, met with Goldy Hyder, President and CEO of the Business Council of Canada, during the Ambassador’s official visit to Mexico City.

 

The Ambassador highlighted the steady growth of Bahrain-Canada relations and stressed the importance of continued engagement between Bahraini economic stakeholders and members of the Business Council through roundtables, business dialogues and targeted investment briefings, contributing to stronger private-sector partnerships between the two countries.

 

Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Rashid highlighted Bahrain’s position as a leading financial and technology hub in the Gulf, noting opportunities for cooperation with Canadian companies in digital banking, fintech, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, sustainable finance and food industries. He also underscored Bahrain’s strategic position as a gateway to GCC markets, offering Canadian companies access to opportunities across the region.

 

The Ambassador expressed his interest in expanding cooperation with Canadian technology companies, particularly in AI, cybersecurity, cloud services, digital health and smart-city solutions, leveraging Bahrain’s business environment and strategic location alongside Canada’s advanced expertise and technologies to advance the shared interests of both countries.
