New County and City Hospitals Contribute to Promotion of Residents' Health

 Pyongyang, October 12 (KCNA) -- The newly-built Kangdong and Ryonggang county hospitals and Kusong City Hospital are contributing to the promotion of the health and wellbeing of regional people.
Those hospitals have conducted a lot of surgical operations in less than a year and successfully treated various complications. Such innovative successes in medical work show the advantages of the Workers' Party of Korea's health policy and the vitality of the socialist public health system.
Various departments of those hospitals have successfully carried out difficult operations by themselves.
Doctors and nurses in pediatrics successfully cured patients with incurable diseases.
Doctors of internal treatment departments at the hospitals diagnose and cure such diseases as diabetes and nephrotic syndrome at a high level in close contact with central-level hospitals.
The Kangdong County Hospital discussed scores of times the remedies for a person, who was badly wounded in an accident, and successfully conducted its first brain surgery and restored the case to health quickly.
Medical workers of the Kusong City Hospital succeeded in a difficult operation after discussing operational and treatment plans for a patient who was at the crossroads of life and death.
